Mama Emmy cierpi na depresję. Mała dziewczynka nie do końca rozumie, co dzieje się z Mamą. Próbuje ujarzmić jej włosy, w które wplątały się złe myśli. Inspiracją do stworzenia spektaklu stał się picturebook „Włosy Mamy” norweskiego duetu Gro Dahle i Svein Nyhus. Włosy oddają stan psychiczny Mamy, są przedłużeniem jej myśli. Z czasem wyraźnie zaczynają dominować nad wszystkim wokół, są wszędzie. Splątują się, szumią, płaczą, wirują, falują, warczą. W ten sposób ukazują, co się dzieje w głowie Mamy. Emma odczuwa panującą w domu atmosferę i pomimo braku zrozumienia sytuacji, próbuje się w niej odnaleźć.

Emma’s Mom suffers from depression, but the girl doesn’t really understand what is happening. She’s trying to tame her Mom’s hair that got entangled in bad thoughts. This performance was inspired by the picturebook ”Mom’s Hair” created by Gro Dahle and Svein Nyhus from Norway. The hair represent Mom’s mental state, her thoughts. As the performance goes on they begin to dominate over everything and everywhere. They tangle, rustle, cry, spin, bounce and growl. All this is a reflection of Mom’s thoughts. Emma notices that strange atmosphere in the house, and even though she doesn’t understand it, she tries to adapt to the situation.
