Mala Strana to teatr, którego językiem są obrazy, dźwięki, gesty i postacie, a spektakle podążają za logiką skojarzeń przypominającą sny, czy wręcz koszmary. Zespół powstał dzięki wspólnej energii zainspirowanej Philippem Gentym i jego grupą. Mala Strana to zarówno zespół, jak i lalka – wielopostaciowa istota wywodząca się ze świata artystycznego Marzii Gambardelli.
Spektakl opowiada o kobiecie, która przeżywa zwyczajny dzień, otoczona muzyką, wspomnieniami i ulotnymi myślami. „Ave Maria” i radio wyznaczają rytm jej życia, zamazując wszystko, co słyszy, pamięta i o czym myśli. Pytania o to, co jest prawdziwe, a co nie, pozostają bez odpowiedzi i ostatecznie tracą sens. „OperettAlzheimer” to delikatny i intymny hołd dla kobiety zmagającej się z pustką spowodowaną chorobą Alzheimera. Utwór ma charakter tragikomiczny, balansując między kruchością, czułością i absurdem życia, wzbudza zarówno troskę, jak i poczucie bezradności w obliczu choroby.

Mala Strana is a theatre company whose language is built on images, sounds, gestures and figures. Its creations follow an associative logic, close to dreams and sometimes nightmares. The company was born from a collective dynamic, notably influenced by Philippe Genty and his company. Mala Strana is both a company and a puppet, a polymorphic creature emerging from the artistic universe of Marzia Gambardella.
On stage, a Lady goes through her ordinary day, surrounded by fragments of music, memories and fleeting thoughts. An „Ave Maria” and a radio punctuate her time, blurring what she hears, remembers or imagines. Questions about what is real or shared remain unanswered and ultimately meaningless. „OperettAlzheimer” is a tender and intimate homage to a woman facing the emptiness caused by Alzheimer’s disease. It is a solo that reflects the profound loneliness of being with someone who no longer recognizes you. The piece is tragicomic, balancing fragility, tenderness and the absurdity of life. It is also two-handed, evoking both care and helplessness in the face of the illness.
