39 MFT WALIZKA – ZAKOŃCZENIE FESTIWALU
Szanowni Państwo, Drodzy Przyjaciele Teatru!
Z ogromną radością witam Państwa na 39. Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Teatralnym WALIZKA w Łomży. Każda jego edycja jest wyjątkowym świętem teatru i spotkaniem ludzi otwartych na sztukę, emocje oraz drugiego człowieka. Cieszę się, że od niemal czterech dekad WALIZKA przyciąga do Łomży artystów z różnych stron świata i wierną, wspaniałą publiczność.
Tegorocznej edycji towarzyszy hasło „TEATR – MOSTY POROZUMIENIA”. Wierzę, że teatr ma niezwykłą moc łączenia ludzi ponad językiem, kulturą i granicami. Inspiruje do refleksji, buduje przestrzeń dialogu i wzajemnego zrozumienia. Dziś, gdy tak bardzo potrzebujemy bliskości i empatii, pozostaje miejscem prawdziwego spotkania.
Ogromnie cieszy mnie duże zainteresowanie tegoroczną WALIZKĄ. Otrzymaliśmy blisko 300 zgłoszeń z ponad 40 krajów, co potwierdza silną pozycję łomżyńskiego Festiwalu na międzynarodowej mapie teatru.
W Łomży spotkają się artyści m.in. ze Stanów Zjednoczonych, Czech, Izraela, Hiszpanii, Estonii, Holandii, Kanady i Francji. Szczególnie cenne jest to, że większość zagranicznych teatrów konkursowych wystąpi na WALIZCE po raz pierwszy. Od początku zależało nam bowiem na odkrywaniu nowych zjawisk teatralnych i prezentowaniu ich naszej publiczności.
Jestem również dumny z obecności znakomitych teatrów polskich z najważniejszych ośrodków teatralnych kraju, m.in. z Warszawy, Gdańska, Łodzi i Kielc. Publiczność zobaczy zarówno spektakle uznanych twórców, jak i odważne realizacje młodego pokolenia artystów. To właśnie spotkanie różnych estetyk i doświadczeń od zawsze stanowi o sile WALIZKI.
Nie zabraknie także inkluzywnego nurtu plenerowego OFF „Moje Miasto”, który ponownie wypełni Łomżę teatrem ulicznym, muzyką i atmosferą wspólnego świętowania sztuki.
Serdecznie dziękuję wszystkim artystom, partnerom, sponsorom, instytucjom oraz osobom zaangażowanym w organizację Festiwalu. Szczególne słowa wdzięczności kieruję do Państwa – naszej publiczności. To dzięki Waszej obecności i życzliwości WALIZKA od lat pozostaje wydarzeniem wyjątkowym.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends of the Theater,
With great joy I welcome you to the 39th International Theatrical Festival VALISE in Łomża. Every edition of this festival is a unique celebration of theater and a gathering of people open to art, emotions, and one another. I am delighted and proud that for nearly four decades, VALISE Festival has been attracting to Łomża artists from all over the world, as well as our loyal, wonderful audience.
This year’s edition is guided by the theme „THEATRE – BRIDGES OF UNDERSTANDING”. I believe that theater has an extraordinary power to bring people together across languages, cultures, and borders. It can encourage us to reflect and create a space for dialogue and mutual understanding. In these times of a desperate need for closeness, conversation, and empathy, theater remains a place of genuine connection.
I am overjoyed by the record-breaking interest in this year’s edition. We have received nearly 300 submissions from over 40 countries around the world, proving that the Łomża Festival has held an important place on the international theater scene.
In Łomża will gather artists from the United States, the Czech Republic, Israel, Spain, Estonia, the Netherlands, Canada, France, and many others. What I found particularly meaningful is that most of the foreign teams participating in the contest will be performing at the VALISE for the first time. From the very beginning of the festival, we have been committed to discovering new theatrical ideas and inviting artists who will be meeting our audience for the first time.
I am also very proud to welcome outstanding Polish theaters representing the country’s most important theater hubs, including Warsaw, Gdańsk, Łódź, and Kielce. Thanks to them, the audience will have the opportunity to see both productions by established creators and bold works by artists from the young generation. This meeting of diverse aesthetics, experiences, and theatrical languages has always defined the strength and uniqueness of the VALISE Festival.
The inclusive outdoor OFF festival “My City” will once again fill Łomża with street theater, music, and the unique atmosphere of celebrating art together.
Profound acknowledgement to all the artists, partners, sponsors, institutions, and individuals involved in organizing the festival. I would also like to express my special gratitude to you – our audience. It is thanks to your presence, kindness, and sensitivity that the VALISE Festival has remained such an important event for so many years.
